EVALUATIONS

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN FOR U13 EVALUATIONS TAKING PLACE JANUARY 10 AND 11, 2026.

U13 Team Selection Process

Evaluation dates: January10 & 11 on the soccer pitch at the Collicut Center. Player evaluation times will be announced after registration closes on December 27 at noon.
We will run player, pitcher & catcher evaluations on both days. Players do not have to attend both days, but typically are more comfortable the second time through; their highest day score will be used.
1^st year U13 players only, we are looking to build a full team of 1^st year U13 players, allowing this team to remain together for years to come.
If you are a 2^nd year U13 pitcher, we have 2 spots available on our current U13-1 team.
1^st year U13 team selection format is as follows:
- First 2 players chosen will be the top 2 pitchers
- The third person chosen will be the top catcher
- Fourth through ninth players will be chosen from evaluation scores
- Tenth and eleventh will be coach picks.
- Coach picks will be determined by player scores as well as what position or special skill set is needed to complete the team
2^nd year U13 pitchers selection format is as follows:
- The top 2 scores from the 2^nd year evaluation scores will make the team

Please be aware that Red Deer Rampage plays in Little League NOT Softball Alberta. Our teams typically practice during the weekdays and tournament on weekends. You can expect to play at least 6 tournaments. Our teams will start weekly winter practices in February, transitioning to our outdoor schedule in May.
Player fees for U13 are $475/season, which will be due upon signing your player contract after evaluations. These fees include all indoor practices, outdoor practices, tournament fees, player apparel package, player equipment package, team pictures, weekly pitcher/catcher practices, and our Rampage wind up campout, which includes our Amazing Race game, group supper and player awards ceremony.
